By accessing this website, participating in Angels of Safety activities, or engaging with the organisation, you acknowledge and agree to the following terms.
Angels of Safety is a community-based organisation/Community Policing Forum that promotes community safety, awareness and cooperation with relevant authorities. Angels of Safety does not replace or assume the statutory functions of the South African Police Service (SAPS), emergency services or any other law-enforcement authority.
Participation in Angels of Safety activities, including patrols, events and community initiatives, is undertaken at your own responsibility. Members and participants must act lawfully, responsibly and within the authority granted to them by law. No member is required or authorised to place themselves or others in unnecessary danger.
To the fullest extent permitted by South African law, Angels of Safety, its office bearers, members, volunteers and representatives shall not be liable for any loss, injury, damage, theft, expense or other claim arising from participation in activities, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Participants remain responsible for their own conduct, vehicles, property and personal safety.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Angels of Safety, its office bearers, volunteers and representatives against claims, losses, damages, costs or expenses arising from the participant's own unlawful, negligent, reckless or intentional acts or omissions, or from conduct outside their authorised duties.
Angels of Safety does not guarantee the prevention, detection or resolution of criminal activity. Members should not unnecessarily confront or pursue suspected criminals and should contact SAPS or the appropriate emergency service where required.
Personal information collected through Angels of Safety activities or this website will be handled in accordance with applicable South African law, including the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA), where applicable.

This Notice is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. If any provision is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue to apply.
